Our mission:
We're committed to providing our patients with all the necessary information to make informed decisions regarding their treatment while delivering unparalleled, state-of-the-art dental care in a relaxing environment. We have a strong commitment to Continuing Education for the entire team and continuously work to increase our knowledge and skills.
We'll ensure that patients feel at ease and that the entire team—from the check-in desk to the treatment room—is respectful, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. For a truly symbiotic doctor-patient relationship, we'll gain the trust and respect of every patient with high levels of communication, transparent office policies and procedures, and the highest quality of care.
What makes Sana Dental Studio & Spa different from any other dental office? Me—that's what. I am as transparent as they come. I'm committed to helping my patients achieve a healthy, esthetic smile while improving their quality of life. My goal is to educate my patients, involve them in their treatment decisions, and provide a completely transparent and honest relationship of trust. I will ALWAYS have your best interest in mind. I do not oversell or provide treatment plans that won't advance your oral health. It's as simple as this—what you need and why. I'll educate you and help you make an informed decision, but ultimately the choice is yours! We're just here to facilitate the best dental care for you.
I'm a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Vice President of the Board for Sunrise of Pasco County (an organization that provides services and awareness regarding domestic violence and sexual assault), and a member of Angels for Humanity, which provides dental and medical services to children in Haiti and the Dominican Republic. I'm a certified Invisalign® Provider and fluent in English, Spanish, and Urdu.
When I'm not treating patients, you can find me spending time with my family, walking around Target, or binge-watching TV!
Hey y'all! This isn’t your normal doctor bio; this is in first person. You get to hear all about me, from none other than ME! My name is Dr. Sana Yusuf, and I'm one of your many local general dentists. I've been in the dental field since high school and have held every job in a dental office—from receptionist to insurance coordinator to dental assistant, and now as the doctor!
I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Detroit Mercy in THREE years.
Yes, you read that right; I graduated college at the age of 20. I continued my education at Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine, Downers Grove, IL, earning my Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at 24. After earning my doctorate, I joined the United States Army as an Active Duty Captain and worked as a general dentist. Now a United States Army Veteran, I'm an honored recipient of the Army Commendation Medal. After leaving the Army, my family and I moved to Tampa, FL, to settle down.
Dr. Calderon takes pride in her attention to detail and her efforts to make patients feel comfortable and calm during her care. In her free time, Dr. Calderon enjoys spending time with her family, including her daughter, husband, and dog. She loves the beach, bike rides, traveling, and cooking.
Dr. Calderon was born in New York City but grew up in the Dominican Republic, where her family is from. During her adolescence, she and her family moved back to the United States, eventually settling in Wesley Chapel for middle and high school. Now, she is excited to give back to the community that helped raise her. “My family has shown me that dedication, compassion, and honesty are the pillars of a fulfilling life and profession. I am humbled every day to have the chance to help patients improve their oral health.”
Dr. Calderon studied at the University of Florida, graduating summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition. She then attended the University of Pennsylvania to complete her dental studies.
After dental school, she graduated from an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program at the University of Florida Seminole Dental Center. In this program, she gained knowledge in various procedures, including the placement and restoration of implants, complex extractions, removable and fixed prosthodontics, and cosmetic dentistry.
